I wanted to re-launch The Craft Room here at Love From Ginger (now that my broken arm is healed!) with a really simple DIY project, perfect for any season of the year.
This easy geometric painting can be made in one afternoon and you can change the colours to match the palette of the season or the shades of your home.
- Painter’s tape
- Acrylic Paints
Tip: Use an old plate to mix your colours.
Step 01: Mask off your triangles with your painter’s tape.
To save time, start from both ends and work into the middle so you can paint two triangles at a time.
I didn’t measure mine out to be even as I wanted a more organic look.
Step 02: Paint your triangles and leave to dry.
If you want your paint to dry quickly, place your painting outside in the sun.
Once dry, paint another coat to make sure the colours are vivid.
Step 03: Keep painting all of your triangles until you’ve covered your canvas.
The most fun part of this project is choosing the colours. You could make a bright, contrasting palette for summer, or a muted, dark selection of tones for winter.
Place your painting on a shelf that needs a pop of colour and you’re done!
I’d love to see your paintings – link up in the comments so we can share the geometric love.
